Set off each morning from, Le Petit Ferme, a small private farm set on the Millevaches plateau just 45 km southeast of Limoges. Enjoy the wonders of France by day and sipping fine French wine in the evening.
The area has a lovely relaxed atmosphere, so book early and come and see why this area is called the Lake District of France.
Whether you are on holiday, just stopping overnight, house hunting in the area or a group of anglers taking advantage of the excellent fishing opportunities in the area, you will appreciate the tranquil setting.
We have maps and details of many established walks, both long and short, some of these start from our front door.
Lac Vassivière, the gigantic fresh-water lake is about 12km away with multiple beaches and lots of water activities. A regular bus service is available in the summer from Eymoutiers town centre.
There are also numerous other beaches in the area, which are popular with young families, where the sunbathers can get a tan, and children can wear themselves out swimming in a supervised environment.
The area has many lakes, that are regularly stocked and provide great fishing opportunities.
Alternatively there are lots of places to cycle with numerous mountain bike (VTT) trails marked
In addition to the beautiful setting there are lots of places of interest for varied tastes, e.g. Limoges for Porcelains and Enamels and shopping or the Oradour sur Glane memorial from the war years.
