The City of Eymoutiers has a population of just under three thousand and is situated 45 Kilometres from Limoges the provincial city of Limousine in central France. It is a city whose history can be traced to the Romans and has medieval churches, a unique river side architecture, modern art museums and modern holiday homes.
There are two good restaurants in the town centre, Le St Psamlet a traditional French hotel restaurant offering a selection of good local produce, Los Qui Fume a good local restaurant offering a bustling atmosphere and good food made from fresh local produce. There are also numerous bars, and a Disco/Bar/Restaurant the Manhattan for the young at heart.
Peyrassou lies three kilometres southeast of Eymoutiers.
